Chief People Officer of Compono

Tamara O’Sullivan is the Chief People Officer at Compono, bringing 20+ years of HR experience to the table. After cutting her teeth in the Insurance, Mining, and Construction industries, she made the leap into the fast-paced tech world 10 years ago and found her sweet spot in the scaleup space.
She knows firsthand what it takes to navigate the chaos of hyper-growth. Tamara’s scaleup experience includes managing distributed teams across global locations and integrating company acquisitions during massive ramp-ups, all while steering workplace culture through the middle of the COVID pandemic.
Bringing a highly practical, real-world approach to scaling teams, Tamara specialises in designing people strategies for scaleup companies during change and from the ground up. She excels at guiding and coaching leaders through everything from talent retention to aligning everyday people operations with big-picture business goals.
The people function has been rebuilt twice in a decade, from back-office HR to people operations, and AI is now rewriting the workflow again. The tools and the expectations have raced ahead of what most people leaders were trained for.
Georgia Kelaher hosts five leaders who each see a different part of the modern people stack: pay, the core HR platform, performance, hiring, and global talent. They'll name what has changed in their patch, where people leaders are getting caught out, and what to build now to lead through the future of the role they're all seeing come to life in front of them.
